Edible Oil Purification

During the manufacture of edible oils, in addition to the highest quality virgin and extra virgin products, various other materials arise, which cannot be directly utilised due to their adverse taste, odour and acidity.

CPL Carbon Link supplies Filtracarb®SK1, an activated carbon that is manufactured from a specially selected coal. It is particularly suited for the removal of high molecular weight contaminants and is superior to alternative products for the removal of benzo pyrenes and benzo alpha anthracene in the refining of lampant and kernel olive oils. Suitable for the treatment of all edible oils,  Filtracarb®SK1 is available in powder and granular forms and has American (US) Codex Certification.
